Obituary for Joan Huffman Evans

Blacksburg, South Carolina -- Mrs. Joan Huffman Evans, 70, of 119 Laurin Drive, passed away on July 9, 2019, at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Jack Evans and the daughter of the late Theodore Huffman, Jr. and Faye Black Huffman.

Surviving Mrs. Evans in addition to her husband are one daughter, Stephanie Evans Fowler and husband, Reece, of Atlanta, GA; one step-daughter, Connie L. Evans of Blacksburg; one step-son, John Phillip Evans of Blacksburg; one brother, Hugh Huffman and wife, Ruth, of Earl, NC; one sister, Betty Ann Richards and husband, Danny, of Falston, NC; and six grandchildren, Sydney Fowler of Atlanta, GA, Emily Gibson of Catawba, NC, Shannon Guyton of Gaffney, Chad Phillip Evans of Kings Mountain, NC, Jordan Evans and Kaitlyn Evans, both of Blacksburg.

Memorial services will be on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Gaffney Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Tolley officiating.

The family will be at the residence.
