Obituary for Zoe Ineta Childers (Roberts)

Blacksburg -- Zoe Roberts Childers, 88, of 170 Childers Trail, passed away Monday, March 20th, 2017, at Mary Black Health System - Gaffney.

Born in Blacksburg, she was the widow of Brice Childers and the daughter of the late Thomas C. Roberts and Mary McSwain Roberts. Mrs. Childers loved to sew and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Childers are one son, Kenneth Childers and wife, Janet, of Blacksburg; one daughter, Barbara Childers-Endicott and husband, Terry, of Blacksburg; three grandsons, Brian Childers and wife, Tammy, Jason Childers and wife, Jennifer, and Matthew Childers and wife, Sheri, plus five additional small grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Dylan Childers and Madison Childers; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Childers.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Childers was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas and Douglas Childers, an infant daughter, Margaret Childers, and her brothers.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 25th, 2017, at 2:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Vernon Craig officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to either Meals on Wheels, PO Box 1886, Gaffney, SC 29342, or to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.

The family will be at their respective homes.
